How do I start therapy here?


You can reach out to me via call, text, email or online booking. We'll first schedule your free 15 minute consultation where we'll "meet" on a secure, virtual platform.  I will answer all of your questions and we'll determine if we're a good fit.  If we are, we'll schedule your first session!  

Are sessions in person or virtual?

I offer both! In person therapy is offered in Ridgefield, NJ.  I also offer virtual therapy for those that prefer not to come in person. 

Where is your office located?

My office is in Ridgefield, NJ. Private parking is available.

What do therapy sessions look like?

By our first meeting, you will have typically filled out my intake paperwork and sent it back to me electronically. Our first couple of sessions, are often spent building a therapeutic relationship. I have a modern and relatable approach that you will have already been exposed to during our consultation that makes this part feel very easy and natural.  I'll spend some time gathering information about your life and gaining an understanding of what you'd like to work on. Sessions moving forward will be spent helping you reach those goals. 

How much do sessions cost?

$200 for 50 minute session

When is payment due?

Cash, all major credit cards, zelle, venmo 

For your convenience, I can process your payment at each session with your credit card that I'll have securely stored on file if you'd like.

No, I am an out of network provider, like most speciality providers are. If you would like to use your health insurance, I can provide you with an invoice or "Superbill" that you can submit to your insurance company and request reimbursement.  Many insurance plans offer great out of network benefits that reimburse most of the cost. Please consult your insurance company directly with questions about your specific policy.     

Payment is due upon booking the appointment.

If I cancel my session, will I still be charged?

Do you give refunds?

If you cancel more than 24 hours in advance, you will not be charged. If you cancel with less than 24 hour notice, you will be charged for the full session.  Why? Because my time is just as valuable as yours.  Also, cancellations that are made on short notice, prevent me from scheduling other clients that want a therapy appointment.

I have never actually been asked for a refund but no, all sessions are non refundable. However, you are not under any obligation for ongoing services and can discontinue seeing me at anytime. 

If I'm an active client, do I have access to you over the phone in between sessions? Do I have to pay for that?

I am not always available for immediate assistance, however you can absolutely reach me if needed. Any communication related to scheduling or under 5-10 minutes is free of charge.  Phone consultation fees will apply for communication that is longer than that or communication that's being requested more frequently.  A $25 fee per 15 minute increment will apply and be charged to your card on file. 

If I live in another state, can I still work with you?

I am only licensed in New Jersey and can only provide services here. My office is located less than 5 minutes from the George Washington Bridge, should you be interested in commuting from NYC.  I may look into getting licensed in other states to provide virtual services in the future if I find there is a need.
